Description

The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship is a pan-African accelerator program dedicated to growth-stage EdTech startups. It aims to support technological solutions capable of improving access to, the quality of, and the inclusivity of education in Africa. Its approach is based on structured support (product, team, impact) combined with funding to scale inclusive initiatives, measuring educational impact and promoting economic viability.

Objectives

🚀 Accelerate Growth:
Structuring 14 startups per cohort, implementing an 8-month program including workshops and mentorship, to accelerate the scaling of their products and business models.

📊 Measure Educational Impact:
Establishing key performance indicators to quantify the impact on learners, with a target of 8,000 new learners per year per startup.

💰 Funding Without Dilution:
Providing USD 75,000, subject to achieving predefined milestones, to ensure long-term viability.

🤝 Building the Ecosystem:
Ensuring inclusion and regional expansion by connecting startups with public and private stakeholders.
