Description

The Support Program for Resilient Agriculture and Sustainable Food Systems (PARSAD) is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening agricultural resilience and the sustainability of food systems in Benin through a targeted agroecological transition within Agricultural Development Hub No. 4 (PDA-4). Its intervention strategy focuses on supporting local stakeholders (family farms, young entrepreneurs, and vulnerable women) to adopt innovative and inclusive practices in the strategic value chains of soybeans, rice, yams, and cassava, thereby promoting healthy production adapted to climate change.

Objectives

🌾 Agroecological Transition:
Promote resilient, environmentally friendly practices in priority sectors.

👥 Green Entrepreneurship:
Support the emergence of profitable agricultural micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), primarily led by women and youth.

🍚 Food Security:
Improve the sustainable supply of healthy products (soybeans, rice, yams, cassava).

💼 Capacity Building:
Support public and private actors in establishing sustainable food systems.
